Albuquerque International Sunport Winter Storm Status Update – 12/27/15

This weekend’s winter storm has had minimal impact on operations at the Albuquerque International Sunport.  Crews have been on-duty around the clock to keep the air carrier runways, taxiways and tarmac areas clear and operational. Roadways in and around the airport are open but drivers should use caution.  Deicing of aircraft, a function of the individual airlines, has caused some minor to moderate delays, but they are working diligently to ensure flights are continuing to operate.  As always, the safety of the traveling public is paramount.

Due to holiday travel, large passenger numbers are expected over the next few days.  As always, travelers should check the status of their flight directly with their airline prior to leaving for the airport and arrive at least 90 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time.  For additional information, travelers can or call (505) 244-7706.
