ABQ Sunport Debuts Self-Checkout Kiosks for Some Retail Shops
The Albuquerque International Sunport now features innovative self-checkout kiosks for some retail shops. These state-of-the-art kiosks allow travelers to quickly checkout, eliminating direct contact with staff, while conveniently avoiding lines. The new kiosks are located in the Hudson News store at the T-connector location, in between the A and B Concourses, on the secure side of the terminal.
The self-checkout kiosks will accept all major credit cards, and feature “Tap To Pay” capabilities for a further expedited checkout process. All products sold in the store, with the exception of electronics, will be eligible for purchase at the kiosks. Should travelers need any help with utilizing the kiosks, a dedicated Hudson team member will be nearby to provide assistance.
“This project is a great example of continued adaptation with respect to COVID safety measures,” said Nyika Allen, Director of Aviation for the City of Albuquerque. “We’re always working to enhance the customer experience here at the Sunport, so we were thrilled to work with Hudson to incorporate this new yet intuitive technology.”
For those who choose to not utilize the new kiosks, a staffed checkout counter is still available.
