Sunport to Begin Accepting Proposals for Reimagined Concessions Offerings

Program will focus on showcasing local food and beverage businesses

ALBUQUERQUE — As part of its “Dream of Flight” terminal renovation and concessions redevelopment program, the Albuquerque International Sunport has published a request for proposals (RFP) for its food and beverage concessions program.

“The redevelopment of our concessions program is a major part of the ‘Dream of Flight’ terminal renovation project, and we are eager to start this process,” said Manny Manriquez, Sunport Innovation and Commercial Development Manager. “This is a once-in-a-generation chance for local businesses to help us shape the future of the customer experience at our beloved Sunport.”

The Sunport will release the RFP for the retail portion of the program this summer..

“A key component of ‘Dream of Flight’ is making local brands a part of our reimagined Sunport to showcase the very best  products the Land of Enchantment has to offer,” said Richard McCurley, Director of Aviation. “We are excited about the opportunity to collaborate with vendors and provide world-class dining and shopping offerings to residents and visitors alike.”

“We are committed to making sure that the Sunport keeps its legendary distinct character, and that includes the food and retail offerings,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “We welcome over 5 million passengers to New Mexico each year, and we look forward to having more of our local flavor on display for everyone who passes through.”
