Southwest Connects the Land of Enchantment with the Music City

Nashville becomes the Sunport’s 30th nonstop destination

ALBUQUERQUE – Southwest Airlines has announced the start of daily, nonstop service between the Albuquerque International Sunport and Nashville International Airport (BNA), enhancing connectivity and convenience for travelers between the Land of Enchantment and the Music City. The route is set to begin on April 8, 2025.

Southwest Airline’s new service will provide travelers expanded access to the rich music, culinary, and cultural experiences that this popular Tennessee destination has to offer.

“We are eager to introduce this new service to Nashville, which has long been one of our air service goals,” said Aviation Department Director Richard McCurley. “Albuquerque and Nashville share an array of similarities, particularly in the arts and outdoor lifestyle. Beyond that, this new route will improve connectivity to the eastern part of the country while bolstering economic growth and tourism in our region.”

“We have been pursuing this route for a long time, and we’re thankful that Southwest Airlines is making it a reality,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “We invite residents of the Music City to explore the Land of Enchantment and are pleased to offer this year-round service to Burqueños so they can discover and enjoy one of the most popular music destinations in the world.”
